Dan Dan Noodles
A Szechuan specialty and fan favorite—chewy noodles in a bold and spicy sauce with numbing peppercorns.
Spicy!
$7.90

Thai Milk Tea w/ Brown Sugar Boba
Xing Fu Tang has ruined all brown sugar boba for me. Good Thai milk tea, but the boba was too jello-y.
$7.25

Pan Fried Pork Buns
Maybe the best individual item? Perfect bun texture.
$11.55

Green Onion Pancake
I like these, but it might make more sense to get the pancake rolls because there's only rice, noodles, and dumplings to pair with this.
$4.65

Dan Dan Noodles
They're solid, but you definitely get an $8 portion. Should order 2x next time.
$7.90

Savory soup dumplings filled a flavorful blend of premium pork & crab with a delicious soup inside. Served with freshly ground ginger for your dipping sauce.
$9.95

Pork & Shrimp Potstickers
Pan fried potstickers filled with an umami-rich blend of premium pork and juicy shrimp, finished with a crispy, golden crust.
$7.65
2
Broccoli with Seafood Sauce
Lauren loves the sweet seafood sauce. It's just steamed broccoli, which is fine, but I want it as a beef and broccoli dish.
$8.15
2
Chicken & Vegetable Pan Fried Wontons
These are fine. They do an exaggerated crust to them, which I don't think adds anything. Wish the chili sauce had a thicker consistency - it just runs off the wontons.
$8.15
2
Egg Fried Rice
This would be a perfect side if they had protein entrees, but they don't. So it's kind of unfulfilling without a protein, but you put it on a plate and mix it with everything else, wrap it in a green onion pancake, and it works.
$7.95
2
Pork & Crab Meat Xiao Long Bao
Inoffensive, unremarkable.
$10.50
2
Broccoli with Seafood Sauce
Lightly-blanched broccoli florets served with a side of seafood sauce.
$7.20
1
Banana Crepe w/ Whip Cream
Maybe better if eaten at the restaurant. These steamed in their container so they were limp and soggy. Needs caramel. Very plain.

with Lauren Clark
Rachel preempted this visit by texting Lauren that Dough Zone's food safety score had dropped from "good" to "okay." The food doesn't feel substantial because they don't do any heavy protein dishes. The buns are good and Lauren likes the dan dan. If I want dumplings, I'll have these ones, but they're nothing special.
